HISTORY

The bogeyman, coconut (ô), papa-gente, papão, cuca, papa-fig, tutu, bitu, boitatá, manjaléu or mumuca [1] is an imaginary being of Portuguese and Brazilian children's mythologies , and is also present in the rest the Iberian peninsula , as in Galicia , Catalonia and Asturias . [2] The bogeyman is the personification of fear . It is a mutant being that can take any form of animal. It is a monstrous-looking being or animal that eats children, a baby boy. He is always on the prowl and is attracted to disobedient children. [3]

The bogeyman, like other mythical beings like the sack man , sarronco or coca , is used by parents to scare and prevent children from disobeying. All their representations are associated with the harm that can occur to children if they distance themselves or contradict their parents; the expression "behave well or the boogeyman comes" thus inducing the children's respect for their parents' orders. In Galicia, it is a gigantic being, [4] but it can also be a troll or goblin . But, whatever its representation, its name, which derives from the childish connotation term "papar", reveals its main function: to devour children.

Appearance: They usually have blue or gray hair, and black or yellow eyes.

As his father is a creature of the shadows, without a true form, the beast of the Boggart will also not have a defined physical form, which provides him with an above average resistance.

 

Level 1-10: The offspring will have resistance equivalent to that of steel, being able to resist attacks that destroy walls without much difficulty.

 

Level 11-25: The offspring will have the resistance of titanium, resisting the destruction of houses as if it were nothing.

 

Level 26-35: The offspring will have the resistance of the diamond, withstanding attacks that devastate city blocks.

 

Level 36-50: The offspring will have adamantium resistance, withstanding attacks that can destroy a small town without much difficulty.

 

Level 51-99: The offspring will have the vibranium resistance, being able to survive without many scratches to attacks that destroy large cities.

 

 

 

Supernatural Speed

 

The Boogeyman appears and disappears at an absurd speed that gives the impression that he has the ability to teleport. The offspring will inherit their father's speed.

 

Level 1-15: The speed will be 400 km / h.

 

Level 16-30: The speed will be 800 km / h.

 

Level 31-45: The speed will be 1200 km / h, close to the speed of sound.

Even though he does not have a defined physical form, the Bicho Papão presents a physical strength that surpasses that of any human being because he is an inhuman being. The offspring will have the same strength as your father.

 

Level 1-20: Offspring can break steel.

 

Level 21-40: The offspring can break titanium.

 

Level 41-60: Offspring can break diamond.

 

Level 61-80: Offspring can break adamantium.

 

Level 81-100: The offspring can break vibranium.

 

Level 101-120: Offspring can break Divine Iron.

 

Terror Trio

The Boogeyman is the personification of fear that has been present in people's imagination for several centuries. He is the most fearful being that exists today. Thus, it is natural that he has other powers, these coming from other gods related to fear and terror. For this reason, the Boogeyman's offspring will also be able to use the powers of Krampus, Phobos and Deimos.

 

Level 50-100: Has all the powers of these gods from 1-20.

 

Level 101-150: Has all the powers of these 21-50 gods.

 

Level 151-200: Has all the powers of these 51-80 gods.

 

Level 201-250: Has all the powers of these 81-100 gods.

 

Long Tongue

 

The offspring will appear to have a common tongue, however it can stretch and become quite long, being elastic and flexible and being able to be controlled by the offspring as they wish.

 

Level 1-20: The offspring's tongue stretches up to 7.5 meters and can support the equivalent of the weight of the hanging offspring.

 

Level 21-40: The offspring's tongue stretches up to 15 meters, now lifting the offspring's weight 5 times with ease.

 

Level 41-60: The offspring's tongue stretches up to 30 meters, lifting up to 10 times the weight of the offspring.

 

Level 61-80: The offspring's tongue stretches up to 60 meters, lifting 50 times the weight of the offspring.

 

Induction of Fear

 

The Boogeyman is the terror of many children and was once the terror of many adults in the past. It is natural that both he and his offspring cause fear in others.

 

Level 1-10: The mere presence of offspring terrifies people in general. Children will cry at the slightest proximity to it and animals will react aggressively to it (snarling and other things), but when they get close enough, they will retreat, retreat and try to escape from it. Adults and demigods with fewer levels than he will look at him crookedly and instinctively avoid contact with him and younger demigods that he will be afraid to see him, focusing paralyzed, but if they have more levels than him, they will not be affected.

 

Level 11-25: His presence will cause children and animals to try to escape away from him just by feeling his presence in a nearby area. Adults and demigods with lesser levels will have their hands shaking and will sweat cold just by seeing him passing by and will be paralyzed by the slightest touch of him. Smaller and weaker monsters will experience great discomfort with the presence of offspring.

 

Level 26-35: His presence will cause a certain setback in demigods of the same level as him, becoming insecure and afraid of what he can do against them, those with a higher level will be suspicious of him and those with a lower level will be completely paralyzed, in shock to find yourself in front of him. Smaller monsters will flee when they see you and stronger monsters will hesitate to attack you.

 

Level 36-50: Your presence will make demigods of the same level that he is very hesitant and feel intimidated when facing them. The weakest may even pass out from fear if they are 15 levels lower than him and feel sick if they have less than that. The strongest will avoid talking to him if they are less than 20 levels stronger than him, but if they have more than that or have known their offspring for some time, good will be affected by it. Larger monsters will retreat before him, but if he forces fear he can make them react and attack.

 

Level 51-99: Your presence will cause demigods of the same level as him to become paralyzed when they face him and the strong will hesitate to attack him if they are less than 20 levels apart. The weakest will be in shock, unable to fight the same as much as they want. Larger monsters will flee when they see the offspring and smaller ones will flee just by feeling the same in the area.

 

 

 

Being of Shadows

 

The Bicho Papão only appears at night and hid in the shadows of the rooms, so darkness is their natural environment, they are part of themselves, natural for them. The offspring will also inherit this characteristic from their father.

 

Level 1-20: The offspring will be able to walk in completely dark places as if they were light, mixing with the shadows easily. Anyone who can see clearly in the darkness will see him as a humanoid figure made up entirely of partially transparent shadows. When a light appears, it will be visible to others again.

 

Level 21-40: The offspring will be able to mix shadows in very dark environments, not a total pitch, but it will be able to remain well hidden. When a light appears, it will be partially revealed, still being able to hide in the shadows, but not entirely.

 

Level 41-60: The offspring may hide in shaded places, only slightly, becoming practically a shadow in the darkness. When a light comes, he will be revealed only as a shadowy figure with a human form.

 

Level 61-80: The offspring will be able to hide in any shadow, even in places already lit, being practically invisible in the smallest of shadows. When a light comes, the shadow where it is will not recede before it, remaining unchanged.

 

Level 81-100: The offspring can become a shadow, without needing one beforehand. It will be able to join the wall and walk through it with its strength being only visible through its shadow. When suffering attacks it can quickly become shadows and flee to a point farther from where the attack happened, just as it can when turning into shadows, pass through narrow places, its three-dimensional shape becoming two-dimensional to walk on the wall. However, there is a time limit of 3 rounds to stay in this form, but when you leave quickly (at least one round) and return to the wall, time is restored. As long as it's a shadow on the wall, physical attacks won't hurt you.

 

 

Fangs and Claws

The offspring will have the appearance of a human, but they may reveal their sharp teeth and long claws, both very resistant and able to cut things easily. Fangs and claws will look like regular teeth and nails, but when you reveal them, they will appear larger (the teeth, in particular, will all look canine) and yellow.

Level 1-15: The offspring can easily cut and pierce iron, and with a single attack can easily dismember unprotected enemies and pierce and tear their flesh.

Level 16-30: The offspring was able to cut and drill steel with ease, going through various mundane defenses (in terms of metals and others) with great difficulty.

 

Level 31-45: The offspring can easily cut titanium, with no human defense capable of preventing the offspring's attack.

Level 46-60: The offspring can cut diamond without any difficulty.

Level 61-75: The offspring can cut adamantium without any difficulty.

Level 76-90: The offspring can cut vibranium without any difficulty.

Level 91-105: The offspring can cut Divine Iron without any difficulty.

 

Fear Strengthens Me

 

The Boogeyman scares others and, in some cases, causes nightmares, feeding and strengthening people's fear. Your offspring will also have strength from fear. Whoever is feeling fear in front of the offspring will strengthen it.

Level 1-20: Offspring will have a 10% increase in all their attributes (including Long Tongue).

Level 21-40: Offspring will have a 25% increase in all their attributes (including Long Tongue).

Level 41-60: Offspring will have a 50% increase in all their attributes (including Long Tongue).

Level 61-80: The offspring will have a 100% increase in all their attributes (including the Long Tongue).

Level 81-100: The offspring will have a 200% increase in all their attributes (including the Long Tongue).

Note: Even in the absence of fear, the offspring has no decrease in their attributes.

 

 

 

Thousand Doors, No Defense

 

No matter what you do, the Boogeyman can enter anyone's home and cause nightmares for his victims. Like his father, the Bicho Papão's son can go anywhere he wants.

Level 1-30: You can enter any physical place, regardless of the human and technological defense placed in it. The offspring need only touch the passage and it will open for him. Even doors with passwords, secret passages and locked entrances will lose their defense and open to their offspring. They are not yet able to pass through defenses that are blocked by magic.

Level 31-60: You can enter anywhere that is protected by magic, the same disappearing only with the proximity of the offspring.

Level 61-90: You will now be able to pass through defenses made with the skills of any demigods who have the same level or less of the offspring, and can attack them from within your defense.

Level 91-120: You can enter personal dimensions of demigods even at the same level as them, regardless of how the dimension works.

 

Level 121-150: You can enter kingdoms belonging to other gods and other mythological worlds, such as Olympus, Atlantis, Underworld, Asgard, etc.

Note: Just as you can enter anywhere, you can also leave without any problem, even if they seal the exit, but according to your level.

Active Powers

Toxic Saliva

 

The offspring have a toxic and corrosive saliva, able to corrode metals easily.

Level 1-15: Saliva is able to corrode iron.

Level 16-30: Saliva is able to corrode steel.

Level 31-45: Saliva is able to corrode titanium.

Level 46-60: Saliva is able to corrode diamond.

Level 61-75: Saliva is able to corrode adamantium.

Level 76-90: Saliva is able to corrode vibranium.

Note: It is not any amount of saliva that is corrosive, requiring a greater amount to concentrate to corrode metals. Toxic saliva infects any open wound, making the victim feel sick, even though he is a demigod with great resistance to toxins. Furthermore, the offspring are not affected by the saliva itself.

My Nightmares

The Boogeyman is often held responsible for giving children nightmares. The offspring will be able to see nightmares and call on them to help them, wherever they are (the explanation is that somewhere in the world there is someone sleeping and possibly having a nightmare).

Level 1-10: The offspring can summon 10 nightmares. They will still be small fitting in the palm of the hand of the Bicho Papão's son, having the form of black horses with yellow eyes. They obey orders only from the offspring and are visible to everyone, but they are fast, having twice the speed of the offspring and in case they are injured / damaged, the gate will regenerate, unless they reach its center or are transformed into dreams.

Level 11-25: The offspring can summon 20 nightmares. They are bigger, having the size of horses in real size. They will be able to transport people, pull and push heavy objects if the offspring orders it. They will also be able to capture small objects and keep them inside, serving as living cages.

Level 26-35: The offspring can invoke 40 nightmares. They can get bigger, being twice the previous size and can assume other forms of other creatures (any creature or being, less human beings), but they can change their size freely. Due to the increase in size, they can now imprison up to 5 adult human-sized individuals. They also acquire the ability to corrupt anyone's dreams, generating more nightmares in the service of their offspring (it doesn't count as more nightmares, because they were created, not invoked).

Level 36-50: The offspring can summon 80 nightmares. They can be the size of a two-story house. They can now capture and keep several human individuals within themselves. Its shapes are diverse and can cause various damages to objects with even the diamond's resistance, thus possessing a great strength. The greater the fear, the stronger the nightmare will be and they can corrupt any dream, making each dream 5 nightmares if they will put themselves in the service of the Boggart's son.

 

Black Sand

Sandman, responsible for children's dreams, has golden sand that gives dreams to them, allows them to dream, and he can manipulate it any way he wants. Bicho Papão has the same sand, but black and with the opposite effect: it causes fear and nightmares. Your child will have the same sand and can handle it any way he wants.

 

Level 1-10: Offspring can generate this black sand, but in a small amount. Because your control is still not much, you can only make a whip with it, which is up to 5 meters long. Their touch corrupts the sand of dreams, transforming it into the same black sand.

 

Level 11-25: The offspring can generate a greater amount of this sand, and can now make melee weapons with the resistance of titanium. He will have greater freedom to manipulate you and now if you touch someone asleep you can make them have nightmares even if they are not dreaming.

 

Level 26-35: The offspring can generate a good amount of this sand, being able to launch attacks capable of breaking diamond in addition to building weapons and armor with its resistance. He can make small spheres of black sand that when thrown in the enemy's face will make him feel afraid of the environment around him, becoming tense and nervous for 2 rounds.

 

Level 36-50: The offspring can generate a large amount of this sand, being able to manipulate it freely, making beings and making attacks that can seriously damage the adamantium to the point of breaking it, besides making armor, weapons and constructs with its resistance. Hitting people in the face will make them fall asleep, immediately placing them in a horrible nightmare that will last 3 rounds.

 

Level 51-99: Offspring can generate an absurd amount of this sand, which can cause a tsunami to hit an entire neighborhood and cause people to have nightmares that are still awake or asleep (if they are sleeping when they were attacked). The offspring can also, when reaching the enemy's heart with a shot of black sand (does not pierce the body leaving damage, then ignores resistance), do the same in being in a catatonic state, crouched and frightened in a corner, unable to fight for 5 rounds. Your constructs will have the vibranium resistance.

Level 100-150: At its maximum, you can generate sand as much as you want, reaching the whole world with your sand, spreading fear and terror to everyone affected by it. The offspring can create traps from this sand that will trap the enemy, holding them for 3 rounds while corrupting them with fear. Its constructs have the resistance of the Divine Iron, being able to do whatever you want with it, until it solidifies, creating a black stone that to the touch leaves everyone who does not have powers related to fear or intimidation, paralyzed, in shock for 3 rounds.

Umbracinesis

 

Being a being of the shadows, the Boogeyman acquired the ability to manipulate the shadows and this was also transmitted to his offspring at the time of his birth.

 

Level 1-20: The offspring will be able to manipulate the shadows forever, but in the beginning it will happen on a small scale, being able to make small spheres with the shadows of the environment and will be able to use them as projectiles to attack their enemies. The Boogeyman's son can see clearly in the dark too. It also has the ability, when it has a lot of shadows, to simply swim in the shadows like water.

Level 21-40: The offspring acquire the ability to give other shapes to the shadows, being able to make them acquire weapon shapes with the resistance of titanium, and having other shapes. The Boogeyman's son will be able to release a strong aura of darkness that will hit everything in that place as a shock wave, which will act both as an offensive attack, injuring and throwing enemies away while defending himself from physical attacks by enemies.

 

Level 41-60: At this level, the offspring is able to see an individual's inner shadows, being able to see their darkest secrets and memories. It can also cause the worst fears of enemies to materialize in the shadows and the offspring's ability to break fear will be greater than before when they are in a dark environment, either naturally or darkened by the offspring's ability. He also has the ability to travel through the shadows freely.

 

Level 61-80: The offspring are able to hit the enemy in the shade, regardless of whether the enemy has resistance or not. Upon reaching the shadow, it is possible to cause terrible pain and even paralyze the opponent by trapping his shadow. Because the shadow is a shadowy reflection of the being / object, whatever affects it will be reflected in the shadow, and vice versa.

 

Level 81-100: The control of the offspring over the shadows becomes such that it is able to make the shadows of others take shape and turn against their own owners. Because the darkness is the absence of light, the shadow can now steal heat and freeze surfaces with which to come in contact. When manipulating the shadows, the fear inflicted on other people will be greater.

 

Metamorphosis

By causing fear in others, the Boogeyman has acquired the ability to change its own form, however it can only become the thing that most frightens others, without having any change in its powers, that is, if it becomes a demon, he will not acquire demon powers, it will be as if he were himself, but in another form. However, if it is a characteristic of the species (not including demons), it will have the same characteristics as the Alien's acidic blood.

 

Level 1-25: He can transform into any mundane creature that normally scares people.

Level 26-50: When transforming into small creatures, they will become bigger, even the size of elephants. Now he is able to transform himself into fictional creatures, from films, books and others, as long as the offspring have a good image of them in mind.

 

Level 51-75: You can transform into any abstract being that once permeated someone's nightmares or that represents someone's deepest fears.

Level 76-100: It can transform into any being, but when it changes, it will cause fear in all those with less levels or the same level as him.

 

Handling Nightmares and Illusions

Dreams and nightmares are like illusions that permeate people's heads while sleeping and being in contact with nightmares for so long, the Boogeyman has acquired the ability to manipulate someone's nightmares, reaching a certain point that these nightmares and fears also become real while the person is still awake.

Level 1-20: The offspring can freely manipulate the dreams of anyone who is asleep, being able to make dreams become nightmares and even remove nightmares from people, making them sleep without dreaming.

Level 21-40: Offspring can make people so immersed in their nightmares that they will believe they are real until they are abruptly awakened from their sleep.

 

Level 41-60: The offspring can now make someone asleep, wake up and live their nightmare while awake, staying that way for 3 rounds. For as long as they are still daydreaming, they can still interact with the real world, but what they are seeing from their nightmare will only be seen by them and no one else.

 

Note: If you want to affect a person who is awake, you will need two rounds to affect him, the first making him sleep and the second the functioning of the skill itself.

 

Level 61-80: Offspring can cause a person's dream to expand and create an illusion with it, so realistic that it actually looks like a dream, but the illusion will only seem to destroy the space, it will not physically affect the campers. They will think they will be hit by the illusion, but when it is over, they will be intact, feeling tired equivalent to the amount of damage they have suffered. It will last 4 rounds.

Level 81-100: The illusion now deals physical damage to enemies, but it will never be enough to kill them. Wounds will not be visible to the body, but the damage done will remain the same. It will last 5 rounds.

Note: The greater the fear or dream / nightmare of someone during sleep, the greater the strength of the nightmare and the illusion manipulated by the son of the Bug Bug.

 

Phobia

Level 100: At this level, the offspring acquire the power to focus all their gaze on an enemy. When they establish eye contact, the offspring will have gray skin and hair as black as night, with their eyes shining golden. Looking at the offspring's gold will cause fear to seep into their victim, leaving them so afraid that they will be unable to move or react for 6 rounds. Whoever has mental toughness, can get out of their catatonic state in half the time, but regardless who has it or not, will still have several hallucinations of what they saw as their catatonic state until the end of the event.

Note: Affect those with the same level or less than their offspring.

Mask

 

Level 15: The offspring will be able to invoke a mask that will cover their face and will inhibit all six passive powers related to fear, not affecting people, making them appear ordinary humans and drawing others close to them, as they will not back away from the fear that he would normally inflict on them.

 

Aura of Fear

 

Level 10-40: The offspring will be able to release a strong aura that will make everyone with less levels than he paralyzes immediately and momentarily. This will stop them from doing everything they are doing, causing skills that need rounds to work to be zeroed and attacks by those with fewer levels to be canceled (ie any attack or ability by someone with fewer levels that they will cancel) or disabled, except passive skills).

 

Level 41-70: The aura will affect those with the same level as offspring.

 

Level 71-100: The aura will affect those with up to 20 levels more than their offspring.

Level 101-130: The aura will affect those with up to 50 levels more than their offspring.

Note: Can be used 2 times per event.

 

Prison of Fear

 

The offspring of fear can concentrate all their power and imprison their enemies in a world of nightmares where for a certain period of time they will live their worst fears and nightmares before they are released. You can arrest anyone if they are hit directly by the attack. Upon being trapped in this world, a black pillow will appear in the person's place, which will tear when the person is freed from there. The only way to get out is for someone from the outside to tear the said pillow or the offspring to want the person to leave.

Level 1-10: Imprison only one person. The prison will last 1 round and the pillow has the resistance of the iron.

Level 11-25: Imprison 3 people. The prison will last 2 rounds and the pillow has the strength of steel.

Level 26-35: Imprison 5 people. The prison will last 3 rounds and the pillow has the resistance of titanium.

Level 36-50: Imprison 7 people. The prison will last 4 rounds and the pillow has diamond resistance.

Level 51-99: Imprison 9 people. The prison will last 5 rounds and the pillow is adamantium resistant.

Level 100-150: Imprison 15 people. The prison will last 6 rounds and the pillow has the resistance of vibranium.

Level 151-200: Imprison 30 people. The prison will last 7 rounds and the pillow has the resistance of Divine Iron.

Note: One pillow per person.

 

Pitch Form

 

Upon reaching his maximum powers, the Boogeyman's son unlocks a new form with a transformation. The offspring will become slender, just over two meters in height, and thin, but still with evident muscles, their skin will be completely black, having no hair (in this form they will also have no clothes, but their genitals will not be visible either) . Her eyes will be completely white and opaque, her nails and teeth will be absurdly long, her mouth can stretch, increase in size, until she is a size that the son of the Bogeyman seems capable of eating a child easily with her.

Upon reaching this transformation, the offspring will have its speed increased to 6 times the speed of sound, and all other attributes will also have a considerable increase. The Bicho Papão's son acquires omnipotence over fear, over the shadows and, especially, over his black sand, being able to generate it infinitely. He can call on a large army of nightmares to fight by his side, not needing to say a word for him to carry out his actions. The offspring's body is completely made of black sand, the only way to reach it is by hitting its vital core, which is a small sphere (the size of a ping-pong) in its chest, which is having the resistance of the vibranium .

Level 180-200: The transformation lasts 2 rounds.

Level 201-220: The transformation lasts 3 rounds.

Level 221-240: The transformation lasts 4 rounds.

Level 241-260: The transformation lasts 5 rounds.

Note: This form can only be used once per event. The only way for the offspring to return to their normal shape before the end of the transformation period is to cause great damage to their vital nucleus.
