GODDESS OF DISCORD

HISTORY

Hesiod in his Theogony says that Éris was the firstborn daughter of Nix - the Night, and mother of countless other scourges. Homer already mentions Éris as Ares' sister, therefore, daughter of Hera and Zeus.

Legend has it that Éris provoked the Trojan War by not being invited to Peleus and Tethys' wedding, due to her difficult temperament. Even so, she attended the ceremony and threw the Snitch's Apple, a golden apple with an inscription: "addressed to the most beautiful of the goddesses present."

This caused Hera, Aphrodite and Athena to dispute a contest among themselves to know who was the most beautiful. It was up to Paris to choose and he chose Aphrodite because she promised him the love of Helena of Troy, a beautiful woman who was the wife of the legendary King Menelaus. This gave rise to the Trojan War.

CHILDREN OF EIS

Appearance: She always has messy hair that seems to resist combs and beauty products. The iris of a son of Éris is unique: they have a big mess of colors in each eye, a mixture of sectorial heterochromia, central and complete, but with varied and generally dark colors. They are usually overwhelmingly beautiful because of their messy appearance.

Levels 26-35: You have developed a supernatural ability to make up lies and thanks to this power the chances of those who hear your lies to believe them increase in catastrophic proportions. It can deceive just about anyone, as long as they are not directly involved in its tramoias.
 

Lies detector

As the title says, only a true liar can recognize the other.

Level 1: You will be able to recognize whenever they lie to you, in a way that you will never be deceived, cheated or manipulated by other people's words.

Disorder Magnet

Anything within Eris' possessions attracts and is attracted to her children. When under the use of this ability, the demigod will be attracted to places where something goes wrong or will attract chaos to the location in which he is present.

Level 1: The demigod can feel fights and confusion on his skin and is taken by greater forces to the place where the disagreements are occurring. If you feel nothing, you will feel obliged to cause disorder where you are.

Compared to other demigods, the children of Eris have a level of intelligence similar to that of the children of Athena, however, because of their ancestry, they prefer to use this wisdom to perform cruel deeds, to cause shame, discord or anger in others.

Levels 1-10: Lowering someone's pants, creating bad rumors about their rival or making someone stumble are natural actions for the demigod, acts that are practiced almost every day and that cause a sense of comfort in the son of Eris.

Levels 11-25: Gain preferences for dangerous and well thought-out acts, such as making naiads angry with a swimming demigod, drawing the attention of wild animals to attack someone, among other acts that, if they get out of control, can end in tragedy .

Levels 26-35: They become worse, but more discreet. At this point, even the instructors take care of the children of Eris, as it would be very easy for them to let a monster into the camp. In addition to evil geniuses, the heirs of the goddess of discord become functional psychopaths.


Infernal Shadow

By inheriting the infernal powers of his heavenly mother, the son of the goddess has a natural aura that offers immunity to creatures of the Underworld, and can even control them through his natural persuasion.

Levels 1-10: Your aura temporarily protects you from hounds and other creatures (3 rounds). After that time she fails, taking away her immunity from attacks.

Level 26: The half-blooded children of Éris are their favorites and, therefore, will receive a gift from one of their brothers, who must be chosen:

Backfire

The gods recognized Eris for her unpredictability, and her children are no different.

Level 1: All attacks by a son of Eris will have a 50% chance to deal critical damage and, similarly, a 50% chance to deal only half the damage due.
 

Wings of Discord

Just as his mother was a winged goddess, the offspring of Éris will have an air of long black wings, whether painful or reptilian [the player's choice], which can mimic a piece of clothing [also the player's choice]. With these wings, the half-blood can defend itself against any attacks, deflect projectiles and fly freely through the skies.

Level 1-10: The wings are fragile, not having the ability to fly yet, but you can glide between large spaces with them.

Discordian persuasion

As discord moves people's minds, children of Eris can, through their voices, force others to do their will. It does not work on beings of intellect or superior mental capacity.

Level 1-10: It can dissuade your enemies from doing things for you and, if focused and eloquent enough, can convince you to leave.

Level 11-25: You will not only be able to persuade your enemies, but will exercise some form of control over them, such as a father exercises over his son, or a king over his vassal.

Level 26-35: Power now works in people with intellect comparable to yours, like children of Athena, but will never affect smarter and safer beings.


Active Powers

Change Target

Children of the goddess of chaos, the children of Eris can manipulate any hatred that is directed at them and transport it to someone else. Focusing on a certain person or creature, the son of Éris can induce an opponent to attack him to change his target.

Levels 1-10: With some concentration, you can divert your target position to a close person, as long as the attacker hates the new target as much as he hates Eris's son. Only works with demigods.

Levels 11-25: As long as the opponent has something against the new target, the power will act successfully. It already works with weaker creatures.

Levels 26-35: Nothing can stop the ability from being used. More powerful creatures can be affected. Gods are also affected, but on a small scale, with a high chance of failure.



Snitch


With the slightest touch or look, the demigod can turn anything into an object of desire for several people, causing arguments, fights and duels wherever he is. It only makes TWO people fight over an object.

Levels 1-10: A blouse, glasses, any small object can be the cause of discussions that can last for hours. Physical struggles cannot be forced by power, but they can be a consequence of use in people who already hate each other.

Levels 11-25: Exchanges of slaps and scratches can result from fighting over an object, but nothing serious enough to have to drag someone to the camp infirmary, but it is enough to make two people sick for good. time.

Levels 26-35: The cause of the fight may now be a living thing. If Eris's son finds that two people like a common person, he can cause serious fights between the two, including weapons and everything.

Venomous vocabulary


Children of Éris prove that words can hurt, or in this case, poison. Offending and humiliating someone, demigods will have the ability to create a poison effect on the person, as if a snake had stung the opponent.

Levels 1-10: In a discussion, demigods may cause dizziness and anxiety in the opponent, however, the effects do not last long, passing in three or four minutes.

Levels 11-25: Striving in the fight, revealing secrets of a person or something, the demigod can create nausea, even making the opponent vomit in case of insistence. The effects pass after a ten-minute interval.

Levels 26-35: A slight word of offense can cause severe headaches, so strong that your opponent's vision will be blurred and your mind confused, you will miss the next three attacks you are going to make and you may pass out.

Level 36-50: The pain will pass to the bones and muscles, causing paralysis. There will be pressure and internal temperature variations, and bleeding from orifices such as the nose, ear and mouth.
 

Outside the Cage

Éris used to enter and leave Tartarus, the "Divine Prison", in a casual way (although this feat has never been explained). From this premise, the children of Eris cannot be arrested for anything in this world, as he would get rid of them, even if in an inexplicable way.

Level 1-10: You can easily escape from bonds, undoing even the most complex knots in seconds.

Level 11-25: Handcuffs are no longer plausible ways to contain a son of Eris, as he will get rid of her in a matter of a moment.

Level 26-35: Now, even magical forms of imprisonment can no longer deal with the children of Eris, who are unstoppable in the face of restraints or restrictions.
 

Sin Control

The 7 Capital Sins aim to create discord and chaos. For this reason, children of Eris can bring the worst vices and sins to people, causing them to completely forget everything around them to realize the sin they were induced to do. This usually results in the victim's immediate death or practically irreparable insanity. It will not work on more than three people at a time.

Level 1-10: You can control only one sin, Wrath, making your targets extremely angry and filled with hatred for everything and everyone around you, putting them in a frenzy.

Level 11-25: Can control two sins, now Greed included. It can make your targets want something too random, like a stone, or a shell, thereby completely losing attention on everything else. Being deprived of this McGuffin can cause aggressive behavior.

Level 26-35: Can control four sins, now Envy and Lust included.

Level 36-50: You will be able to control all 7 sins with perfection and skill.



Ace of hearts

The son of Éris can pass his chaotic energy on to objects. When the son of Eris launches a certain object, it will fly towards the enemy and explode as soon as it touches it. When the son of Eris strikes this object, it will cause a kinetic explosion that will send the enemy flying away. Deals damage from impact and more damage from "Chaos Fire", a fire even stronger than Greek fire itself.

Level 1-10: You can pass your energy on to small objects, such as playing cards, short knives and arrows.

Level 11-25: You can now put your energy into weapons like axes and swords.

Level 26-35: You can imbue almost any object with the energy of chaos.
 

Storm Dragon

Level 100: The offspring concentrate their energy, thus creating a perfect spectral armor that is actually the representation of Discord, a humanoid of 25 meters that has a great destructive power. The offspring of Éris is right on the humanoid's forehead inside while controlling it, you can arm this humanoid whip and a sword, it has almost divine resistance, so the half-blood is basically untouchable inside the armor. You can even use your powers with the summon. It will, however, be highly exhaustive.



Probability control

Chaos Theory says that the smallest and most insignificant change at the beginning of a random event can have huge and absolutely unknown consequences for the future. The children of the Goddess of Discord and Chaos have control over these consequences and can change them at will.

Level 11-25: It is a pretty weak skill. You can control only a few events, such as the likelihood of rain, 0u of finding a useful item on the way.

Shackles of Discord
