HISTORY
Eros was considered by the Greeks as the god of love. Among the Romans, he was known as Cupid, which in Latin has the meaning of 'love'. There are several versions about the history of this god. According to Hesiod, in his work Theogony, and Empedocles, a pre-Socratic philosopher, he was a descendant of Chaos, thus being a primordial deity.
