GOD OF THUNDER

HISTORY

In Celtic mythology Taranis was the god of thunder worshiped primarily in Gaul , the British Isles , but also in the regions of Rhineland and Danube among others, and mentioned, with Esus and Toutatis as part of a sacred triad , by the Roman poet Lucano in his poem epic Farsalia as a Celtic deity for whom human sacrificial offerings were made. [1] It was associated, as was the Cyclops Brontes ("thunder") in Greek mythology , with the wheel.

Many depictions of a bearded god with lightning in one hand and a wheel in the other had been recovered in Gaul, where this deity apparently came to be syncretized with Jupiter . [2]

The name as recorded by Lucano is not epigraphically attested, but variants of the name occur in inscriptions, including the forms Tanarus, Taranucno-, Taranuo- and Taraino-. [3] [4] The name is permanent in Irish as Tuireann . His name is probably connected with those of the Germanic thunder gods, Thor Nordic ( Anglo-Saxon Þunor, German Donar), Tiermes of the Norse Sami peoples, [5]

Taranis is probably associated with the Gallic Ambisagrus (probably from the proto-Celtic * ambi-sagros = "around the force"), and in the Roman interpretatio with Mars . [

CHILDREN OF TARANIS

Appearance: They are big, sometimes tall, some can be athletic, muscular or just frowning.


Personality: They tend to be rude, authoritarian and always try to impose their leadership, following their father's temperament. Sometimes they can be friendly, but when angry, they are explosive like a storm. They always try to maintain the title of best demigods in the camp, in search of perfection.

Resistance

 

Taranis is the god who personifies thunder, one of the greatest forces of nature. Being a representation of such a force, the god has great resistance, and so does the offspring.

 

Level 1-10: The offspring's skin has steel resistance and their body is able to withstand attacks that destroy a house.

 

Level 11-25: The offspring's skin has titanium resistance and their body is able to withstand attacks from destroying homes.

 

Level 26-35: The offspring's skin has diamond resistance and their body is able to withstand attacks that destroy a building.

 

Level 36-50: The offspring's skin has adamantium resistance and their body is able to withstand attacks that destroy several buildings.

 

Level 51-99: The offspring's skin has vibranium resistance and their body is able to withstand attacks that destroy a block.

 

Level 100-150: The offspring's skin has Divine Iron resistance and their body is able to withstand block-destroying attacks.

 

Electrical Sensitivity

 

Level 1-20: The offspring is able to sense places where electricity is conducted or produces energy, even to know which direction they are going.

 

Level 21-40: When touching a source of electricity / electrical energy, the offspring's body will immediately absorb that energy. Depending on the amount of energy absorbed, it can restore the offspring's energy.

 

Level 41-60: The offspring can transfer electrical energy from one point to another, using their body as a conductor to direct energy attacks.

 

Thirst of blood

 

Various sacrifices were made for Taranis in order to appease his bloodlust.

 

Level 1-10: When you see blood from your enemies, your powers and abilities will increase by 2 times.

 

Level 11-25: When you see blood from your enemies, your powers and abilities will increase by 3 times.

War Master

 

Taranis is found in other inscriptions in other lands, such as Italy, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, France and Belgium, and is identified as Jupiter, lord of the skies and lord of war. The offspring will be a good warrior.

 

Level 1-20: The offspring will know how to use weapons very well, being able to easily make any weapon that falls into their hands lethal.

 

Level 21-40: The offspring are a great user of martial arts, being able to adapt to the fighting style of their enemy easily, being able to make fast attacks that cause little damage or a single powerful attack that spreads throughout the enemy's body.

 

Level 41-60: When the offspring receives a physical attack from an enemy, they can return a counterattack with double damage.

 

Level 61-80: The offspring is able to see the vital points of enemies and attack them with extreme precision, causing up to 3 times more damage when reaching these points.

 

Induction of Fear

 

The Celts feared Taranis, mainly because of their bloodlust, so they made sacrifices to him. Offspring may induce fear in those who stand against it.

 

Level 1-30: Monsters and weaker beings will usually avoid attacking their offspring, avoiding conflict with them as much as possible.

 

Level 31-60: Those who stand against their offspring will immediately retreat, feeling a strong desire to flee. If they fail, they will desperately and wrongly attack the offspring to get rid of it, reducing their efficiency by 50%.

 

Level 61-90: When standing against the offspring, enemies will be paralyzed until they are attacked by the offspring. Even after that, they will find it difficult to move.

 

Eagle Wings

 

Level 15: One of Taranis' symbols was an eagle. The offspring has a mark / tattoo of a pair of wings on their backs. When the offspring reach the required level, the offspring will be able to fly through the skies smoothly, flying at the same speed as when running.

 

Great Leader

 

Taranis is also a god of leadership. Having been born with natural leadership, the offspring can encourage others around them, even if they are not the leader of that group.

 

Level 1-20: Offspring can encourage others, thus increasing their powers and abilities for 3 rounds.

 

Level 21-40: Offspring, in a few words, can make their allies more resistant to physical damage.

 

Level 41-60: With a few words, the offspring can make their allies overcome the fear and effects caused by them.

 

Immunities and Resistances

 

Taranis is considered the god of power. This power allowed the god to acquire resistance to many abilities.

 

Level 1-20: The offspring have immunity to human needs, being able to remain for a long time without eating, going to the bathroom, sleeping, among others. Offspring are also highly resistant to illusory powers.

 

Level 21-40: The offspring are highly resistant to elemental attacks and curses thrown at them.

 

Level 41-60: The offspring acquire immunity to changes in temperature. The offspring acquire great resistance to the control of their body.

 

Level 61-80: The offspring acquire great resistance to spells and derivatives, and it is necessary to have a higher level than that to affect them with them.

 

Level 81-100: The offspring acquire immunity to their emotions and cannot have them manipulated, at the same time they acquire great mental resistance, requiring a higher level than theirs to affect them.

In mythology, Taranis was referred to as a dark being. Because it caused storms, he would bring shadows to the lands he passed through, those shadows being momentarily removed by their rays.

Taranis was closely related to fire, both for the sacrifices made to him through bonfires and for causing fires with its rays.

Taranis was a god of the heavens, being even compared to Jupiter for this and also for his connection to lightning.

Thunder Control

 

Taranis is considered the god of thunder, the shock wave caused by lightning when it occurs.

 

Level 50: Reaching this level, the offspring is capable of generating powerful shock waves. Through physical contact, it can cause intense tremors, break walls with powerful vibrations and is also capable of causing intense impacts and destruction with shock waves. Shock waves can, at most, reach an entire city.

 

Taranis Wheel

 

One of the main symbols of Taranis was a wheel. The offspring may invoke a special wheel for use in combat.

 

Level 1-20: The offspring can summon a wheel to launch at enemies. The wheel will spin at a high speed and move at twice the speed of the offspring. It will cut everything with resistance similar to that of the offspring thanks to its speed. After the attack, it will return to the offspring's hand.

 

Level 21-40: When the offspring launches the wheel, it can multiply into several wheels with the same effect as before, but before going back to the offspring, it will rejoin. The wheel spins at three times the speed of the offspring.

 

Level 41-60: The offspring can launch the wheel into the sky and when spinning, it will throw several thin and invisible thorns at enemies, falling as if they were lightning on the ground, giving a great shock to enemies. The attack will continue for 3 rounds before returning to the offspring. The wheel can rotate at 4 times the speed of the offspring.

 

Level 61-80: The offspring can launch the wheel upwards, thus causing it to spin at such a speed that it will generate a tornado that will pull everything that is not well attached to the ground for itself. Lightning will surround the tornado, hitting everything that enters it.

 

Taranis Storm

 

Taranis was the one who brought storms to earth. The offspring may generate a storm of completely black clouds. A heavy rain will fall on your enemies, making them feel heavier and 50% slower. Cutting gusts will pass between your enemies, these cutting through everything with equal or less resistance than the offspring. Lightning will fall everywhere, especially on enemies.

 

Level 1-20: The storm has a radius of 100 meters.

 

Level 21-40: The storm has a radius of 300 meters.

 

Level 41-60: The storm has a radius of 600 meters.

 

Level 61-80: The storm has a radius of 1500 meters.

 

Level 81-100: The storm has a radius of 3000 meters.

 

Note: The storm will last 3 rounds before disappearing.

 

Thunder Chariot

 

Legends said that Taranis traveled the skies in a chariot. The horse's hooves generated lightning and the sound of the wheels turning caused thunder. The offspring may incur a similar carriage.

 

Level 1-10: The carriage can take up to 10 people with the offspring.

 

Level 11-25: The carriage can fly and fly at twice the speed of the offspring.

 

Level 26-35: Horses can wrap themselves in lightning and shoot spheres of electricity at enemies.

 

Taranis Army

 

Human sacrifices were made for Taranis in order to appease his bloodlust. They used to be prisoners of war or slaves. Taranis would have authority over the spirits of those sacrificed, and could call on them to help him. The offspring will also be able to call these spirits. They will manifest themselves as armor, which will carry swords and bows to fight alongside the offspring.

 

Level 1-20: The offspring can summon 30 soldiers.

 

Level 21-40: The offspring can summon 70 soldiers.

 

Level 41-60: The offspring can summon 120 soldiers.

 

Level 61-80: The offspring can summon 200 soldiers.

 

Level 81-100: The offspring can summon 500 soldiers.

 

Wheel of the Year

 

The Taranis wheel had an important meaning for the Celts, its four spokes representing 4 of the most important festivals for them, each signifying the beginning of one of the 4 seasons of the year. The offspring will be able to invoke a similar wheel and one of its spokes will shine, bringing a reflective power to one of these 4 parties.

 

Level 1-30: Imbolc, the party that represented the beginning of spring. Spirits in the form of animals will appear to help the offspring, being spirits not affected by physical attacks, but they can only affect the body of enemies. Candles will appear throughout the area, floating and allowing the offspring's allies to regain their energy (25% per round).

 

Level 31-60: Beltane, the party that represented the beginning of the summer. Spheres of light will appear throughout the battlefield, blinding enemies and disrupting their movements. Fire and earth creatures will emerge, helping the offspring to fight by controlling such elements. The lights will also allow the offspring's allies and herself to heal from injuries more quickly.

 

Level 61-90: Lughnasadh, the party that represented the beginning of autumn. A warrior with a spear will appear beside the offspring, having both the weapon and the body made of light. Its movements are 10 times greater than the speed of the offspring and can cast powerful rays of light, these capable of starting fires easily. The warrior will also be able to invoke a sphere of light with an appearance similar to that of the sun to shoot his enemies, the explosion of which may sweep blocks.

 

Level 91-120: Samhain, the party that represented the beginning of winter. A fog will cover the battlefield, making it difficult for enemies to see and creating shadows that resemble the forms of the offspring and their allies, confusing them in such a way that it is very difficult to distinguish the shadows from the real ones. Spirits will appear on all sides, frightening enemies and attacking, not in order to kill them, but to deconcentrate and hinder them. A group of 15 elite elves will appear to assist the offspring, their aim being impeccable and having explosive and other arrows that chase enemies.

 

Note: The offspring can invoke the powers of 1 of the parties at a time, their effects lasting 5 rounds before they disappear, and they can use each party 1 time per event and need to wait 3 rounds after the end of use.

 

Divine Thunderer

 

The offspring will awaken one last power, a transformation. Your hair will grow to a golden color and your eyes will shine like a clear sky. Dark blue armor with golden details will wrap around your body and a shield with a similar design to your father's wheel and a shiny blue blade sword. The offspring has a speed of 10 mach, has absolute control of fire and lightning. The offspring can summon an army of 1000 warriors with strength equivalent to that of the offspring and the speed of 3 mach.

 

Level 180-200: The transformation will take 2 rounds.

 

Level 201-220: The transformation will take 3 rounds.

 

Level 221-240: The transformation will take 4 rounds.

 

Level 241-260: The transformation will take 5 rounds.

 

Note: You can use it three times per event.
